Inner City successfully walked a tightrope combing commercial success and at the same time maintaining commercial credibility.
Their 1994 release “Do Ya” on Network’s six6 offshoot underlines how well Kevin Saunderson and Paris Grey did the trick.
Written by the duo, “Do Ya” was maddeningly catchy and Soulful but at the same time plugged straight into the dance music underground.
Kevin’s Reese mixes and the Chez D Trent remix supplied the American perspective, with the Graeme Park, Sure Is Pure and The Commision reworks aimed at UK Progressive House dance floors.
